Verse 1

[C]My faith [G7]looks[C] up to thee,
[G]thou Lamb of [C]Cal[D]vary[G], Savior divine;
[C]now hea[G]r me w[C]hile I pray[G], tak[C]e all my guilt away,
O let me from t[D]his[G] d[C]ay be wholly thine.

Verse 2

[C]May thy [G7]rich g[C]race impart
[G]strength to my fain[C]ti[D]ng he[G]art, my zeal inspire;
[C]as thou [G]hast d[C]ied for[G] me, O[C] may my love to thee
pure, warm and cha[D]ng[G]eles[C]s be, a living fire.

Verse 3

[C]While life'[G7]s dark[C] maze I tread,
[G]and griefs aroun[C]d m[D]e spr[G]ead, be thou my guide;
[C]bid dark[G]ness [C]turn to day,[G] wipe[C] sorrow's tears away,
nor let me ever[D] str[G]ay[C] from thee a-side.

Verse 4

[C]When ends [G7]life's [C]transient dream,
[G]when death's cold, [C]sull[D]en str[G]eam shall o'er me roll,
[C]blest Sav[G]ior, t[C]hen, in lov[G]e, fea[C]r and distrust remove;
O bear me saf[D]e [G]abov[C]e, a ransomed soul.
